24 | a picture of a k-pop idol who you think is overrated

I don't like to think that a group is overrated. I try to think of all the hard work that they put in to achieve their goals. But there comes a time when a group's activities is just over hyped. Maybe its because the fans have so much expectation that when the group releases something...its really, underwhelming.

The first name that came to find was

2NE1

I was quite excited for their debut. Park Bom was officially debuting! And well, being labeled as the "female" version of Big Bang was a good thing, no? After all, The Grace didn't disappoint with their label as the "female" version of DBSK.

But anyway, they had a fairly good debut. I thought it was good, but not something outstanding like OHEMGEE, THEY ARE TOTALLY AWEEEEEEESOME. Their following releases were met with high enthusiasm, that it was sure to top the charts etc. But really, the song was really really....weird. Maybe weird isn't the right word to describe it, but it was underwhelming.

I expected more, but they didn't deliver. However, what I really dislike is how every girl group is being compared to them. Comments such as "2NE1 could have done much better", "2NE1 copycat", "Those girl groups ain't nothing against 2NE1" etc etc. 2NE1 aren't the first to do a concept, nor will they be the last.

Gah, I have no words right now...still hung over LB. I NEED MORE BOE DRUGS!
