thanks mr o

I've been cleaning through my pile of worksheets, books and whatnot throughout the years. I found this in my homeroom section from Year 11. Still remember the homeroom periods that I had in that year. Mr O really took care of us and tried to inform us and encourage us for the future and of course, at that time, the struggles of VCE.

He told us the story of a man and his persistence and perseverance towards his goal.I remember sitting there being in awe of this man. I'm pretty sure Anna was as well...HAHA. Anyway, here's what Mr O shared to the class, and since I'm gonna throw the sheet away, I wanted to type it up so I've got it somewhere.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

The slogan "PRESS ON" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race"
